最近看到了一部值得分享的短片：來自RSA Shorts的"The Power of Empathy"。裡面講到了Empathy「同理心」以及Sympathy「同情心」。雖然中文聽起來好像沒什麼差，但是英文上來說，兩者是有很大的差異的。
在影片中講到，Empathy有四種特徵
1. Perspective-taking「踏入他人立場思考」
2. Staying out of judgement 「不先入為主評論」
3. Recognising emotion 「察覺他人情緒」
4. Communicating with emotions 「真心交往交通」
"Empathy is feeling WITH people"
反觀Sympathy，那只是以自己的立場可憐別人，看似好像給很多的「建議」，但其實只是隔岸觀火。
"Rarely can a response make something better. What makes something better is connection."
